Citizen Statement
We, the Keheley Cougars, will respect
others and ourselves. We will accept personal responsibility for
our actions and our attitudes. We will show civility to all and,
through our commitment and cooperation, will help ensure the safety
of our school and community.
At Keheley, we will not tolerate hurtful acts or violence, such
as any mean look, word, sign, or act that hurts a person’s body,
feelings, or things.
Our after school program follows the Citizenship Statement. ASP
rules are the same as those that are enforced during the school
day.

Information
•
Adult to student ratio is 15:1
• Please be aware of the ASP rules. You received a yellow copy
of the rules when you completed the ASP registration form. If
you need another copy please ask at the ASP desk.
• Snacks are given to every student each day in ASP. Students
can bring snacks from home, too.
• We have a closet full of games, jump ropes, balls, legos etc.,
so we request that NO personal games, balls, stuffed animals,
etc., are brought to ASP.
• We ask that parents do not call to talk to their child when
they are attending ASP. We will gladly relay a message for you
to your child.
• Fridays are declared as movie day and during our movie time
2nd-5th graders can buy a soda for .65 cents.
• If your child would like to go home with a friend please arrange
this in the morning and send a note to the teacher and to ASP.
• Kid Chess is offered on Fridays from 2:30-3:30 and a second
session is held from 3:35-4:35. Log onto to www.kidchess.com for
more information regarding chess.
• Technology classes are offered on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 in
the computer lab. For more information about computer explorers
call 678- 354-7894.

Medication
Policy
ASP
can only administer prescription medications that are required
during ASP hours. We do not administer over the counter medications
during ASP. Should your child become ill enough to require over
the counter medications, we will contact you to pick your child
up from ASP. An “Authorization to Give Medication at School” form
must be on file before any medication can be administered during
ASP hours.

Homework/Study
Hall
Homework/Study
Hall is offered to 2nd-5th graders Monday through Thursday.
2nd
and 3rd grade have homework time from 4:00-4:45.
4TH and 5th grade have homework time from 3:15-4:00.
All students in 2nd-5th grade are expected to work on their homework
during this time. If the students do not have homework they can
read a book from home or write a letter and make use of our Keheley
Postal Express service. Please make sure your child brings a book
to read. Our ASP workers walk around during homework time and
help the students as much as they can. We ask that parents check
your child’s homework when he/she arrives home to ensure that
the homework is completed and correct.
